FC Dallas on Campus: Week 8 results

Bobby Edet returned to his scoring ways this past week for Furman.

Furman Athletics

The slew of FC Dallas academy players had a busy opening weekend of games.

Seniors

Boyd Okwuono (North Carolina) - The Tar Heels continue to shutout opponents. Okwuono went the full 90 in a 1-0 win over NC State.

Jack Coleman (Duke) - Back-to-back losses for the Blue Devils to Notre Dame and Elon. Coleman went the full 90 in both matches.

Damian Rosales (SMU) - SMU entered the rankings this past week but stumbled in two straight games, one being a OT draw with USF and a second being a 1-0 loss to Tulsa. Rosales came off the bench in both matches.

Juniors

Mikey Ambrose (Maryland) - Maryland is starting to peak at the right moment with two straight wins over Leigh and Indiana. Ambrose started each of those matches.

Aaron Guillen (Florida Gulf Coast) - He started in both matches over the last week for FGCU.

Mark Ashby (Harvard) - Ashby continues to do well with Harvard this season as he started in a win over Holy Cross and a draw with Brown.

Sophomores

Nicholas Rochowski (New Mexico) - Rochowski did not play in the loss at Kentucky.

Caleb Underwood (SMU) - He did not play in either match this past week.

Marco Carrizales (SMU) -  He did not play in either match this past week.

Bobby Edet (Furman) - Following a two game losing streak, Furman bounced back with two straight wins. Edet came off the bench and scored one goal in the 3-1 win over VMI. He returned to the lineup and scored one goal in a 3-1 win over UNCG.

Marco Ortiz (Furman) - He started in both wins this past week.

Victor Portillo (Liberty) - He came off the bench in a 2-0 loss to Costal Carolina. He did not play in the 1-0 win over Longwood.

Fernando Laverde (Central Florida) - He came off the bench and played 13 minutes in a 1-0 loss to South Florida.

Freshman

Kristoffer Reaves (Wake Forest) - Two straight wins for Wake Forest where Reaves started in both games. Reaves had one assist in a 4-1 win over Boston College.

Jordan Cano (SMU) - He stared in both matches last week, going the distance in each game.

Abdul Yassine (SMU) - He started in both matches this past week.

Will Coleman (Liberty) - He started both matches for Liberty this past week.

Troy Reeves (Liberty) - He started both matches for Liberty this past week.

Cesar Murillo (College of Charleston) - He started and played the full match in a 2-0 loss to James Madison.
