MLS Fantasy Manager: Week 33 (The End)

FC Dallas will be at home this weekend and FCD players should be in store for a good amount of fantasy points.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

It's the last week of MLS Fantasy Manager 2014. The game will not continue into the playoffs like last year. So, it's your last chance to jump as high up in the rankings as you can. Lineups lock tonight at 8:30 pm CT!

FC Dallas

FC Dallas will be at home this weekend, and we all know how good FCD is at home these days. For that reason alone, I'd start a lot of FCD players. But, I'll give you another reason. Portland is coming off an extremely disappointing 3-1 loss to Club Deportivo Olimpia on the road in CONCACAF Champions League play. They will be short on rest and frustrated.

Who to start/add

Blas Perez $8.4 - Five goals in his last four games for FCD? Yup. Start him. He's getting hot at just the right time for FCD.

Matt Hedges $8.7 - Defense's get extra points for clean sheets. Hedges lead the defense to a clean sheet last week and I think he does it again this week.

Tesho Akindele $5.0 - Why not take a gamble? Akindele hasn't scored since his hat-trick against San Jose two months ago. That's a long time. He's due.

Who not to start/add

Michel $7.6 - Well, I guess Adam Moffat will be starting in the center of the park now. Oscar Pareja must have liked what he saw when he came on for Michel against Los Angeles Galaxy a couple of weeks ago. But, who knows with Pareja?

Jair Benitez $5.9 - Moises Hernandez served his suspension last week and will be available for selection once again. I think he gets the start in this one over Benitez.

Raul Fernandez $5.2 - Chris Seitz returned from injury and started in goal against LA two weeks ago. But, Pareja went with Fernandez last week against Colorado. If he's going to be rotating, this week would be Seitz in goal.

Only one team with two games this week. That team is Chivas USA.

Who to start/add

Erick Torres $8.2 - Torres is probably the only player to consider picking up this week. He might be the most captained player in fantasy this week because Chivas play two games.

Pedro Morales $8.6 - Vancouver Whitecaps will be at home this week playing against Colorado Rapids. Vancouver plays well at home and Morales is bound to make some noise as his side tries to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Lee Nguyen $9.1 - Nguyen is having an incredible season for the New England Revolution. Putting up some MVP type numbers. New England is one of the hottest teams in MLS and I expect their success to continue at home this weekend against Toronto FC. Nguyen will probably be a big reason why they win.

Who not to start/add

Portland Timbers defense - I'm pretty confident FCD will do work Saturday.

Gilberto $8.1 - Like I said, New England is hot. It will be extremely tough for Toronto to defeat them in New England. I don't think it happens. Especially with Jermain Defoe ruled out. Gilberto hasn't scored in over a month. I don't think he does this week either.

Sebasiten Le Toux $7.8 - Philadelphia Union travel to Columbus to take on the Crew this week. The Crew have won their past four home games by a total score of 9-0. Columbus is also coming off a huge win in New York over the Red Bulls. Don't count on Philly coming away with points this week.
