While FC Dallas prepares for Portland this weekend, a lot of their playoff seeding fate could be determined tonight. We'll dive into that with your daily links.

There are some good quotes from Oscar Pareja and Adam Moffat on playoff experience in this one. But I would really focus on the last two blocks in this article. No season finale win for FCD since 2003? Wow.

Ouch. Going into the night all the Timbers needed to do was get points and they would advance in the CCL. Instead, they went to Honduras and dropped a game 3-1 and now are out of the competition. It should be noted that the Timbers used a fairly mixed lineup last night too. Something to keep in mind for Saturday.
I mean it was bad enough to have this game right in the heart of a playoff run but Portland gave up two goals in the first five minutes in this one. You can't do that in any competition. FCD has to take care of business against this defense on Saturday regardless of the playoff situation.
The more important game tonight sees RSL host Chivas. A win keeps RSL's third place hopes alive while FCD fans should continue to root on Chivas for a draw or a win. Oddly enough, Chivas has beaten RSL twice this season.
On the other end of the stick, D.C. United won their final group game, giving them the full 12 points from the group stage. More than likely they stand a good chance at being one of the top seeds in the quarterfinals in the CCL.
I think we may see a different LA side this weekend now that all the hoopla over Landon Donovan is out of the way with his retirement.
It may seem crazy to think about the SuperDraft when we have so many other drafts before it. But the folks in Orlando are already scouting.
