FC Dallas moves up in the power rankings around the web.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

FC Dallas looked impressive in their comeback win over Los Angeles Galaxy at home. They will look to build on this momentum heading into the playoffs in a few weeks.

Here's the latest rankings:

Rank: 3 (Last week: 3)

Comment: After beating LA, FCD said "the win was well deserved," and they're right. It may not be the prettiest soccer in the league, but it has proved to be damn effective.

Rank: 6 (Last week: 6)

Comment: The return of Fabian Castillo proved to be perfectly timed, as the Colombian bagged the game winner in FCD's comeback win over the Galaxy, one that clinched a playoff spot. Not too many teams will want to take on this speedy club in the postseason.

Sports Illustrated: Planet Futbol

Rank: 3 (Last week: 4)

Comment: Fabián Castillo put back a rebound from Jaime Penedo to secure Dallas’ first playoff berth since 2011, spearheading a come-from-behind victory over the Galaxy. Now, the battle will be with RSL for third place in the West and to avoid the play-in round.

Rank: 8 (Last week: 8)

Comment: Winners of eight straight at home, Dallas defeated L.A. in a tight match at Toyota Stadium. Even if the Californians were without Robbie Keane, a win is a win is a win.

The Oregonian

Rank: 5 (Last week: 6)

Comment: Produced a big win against Los Angeles, which keeps them one point behind third-place Real Salt Lake in the West, as both teams try to secure third place. They play at reeling Colorado Saturday.
