Several key players will remain at home however.

USA TODAY Sports

The preseason isn't a week old but things will really ramp up for Oscar Pareja and FC Dallas tomorrow as they make the long trek to the Middle East as they leave for UAE tomorrow morning.

But the club won't be taking every play to Abu Dhabi. The club informed Big D Soccer on Wednesday that five players will not be traveling to the Middle East due to injuries or rehabbing purposes. Those players include goalkeeper and 2013 MLS All-Star Raul Fernandez and defenders Zach Loyd, George John, Stephen Keel and Walker Zimmerman.

Those five will stay in Frisco but all five should be available later in February when the club heads to Florida for a series of preseason friendlies.

The club will be gone for two weeks to Abu Dhabi, UAE. Al Jazira Sports and Culture Club will host FC Dallas from Jan. 30 to Feb. 12. The team will travel on Emirates Airlines to and from the UAE. While in Abu Dhabi, the team will stay at the Al Jazira Sports Hotel and train at the Al Jazira SCC facility.

FC Dallas is planning at least three friendly games during the trip, along with a special night for the American business community living and working in the UAE. The team will also make several community appearances during the trip.

No official word yet on if or where the Abu Dhabi games will be streamed. Once we have that information for you, we will pass it along. I know plenty of you are excited to see the team in action again.
