Richard Sanchez and Fort Lauderdale Fall To New York Cosmos

Bradlee Baladez did not make the game-day roster.

The North America Soccer League is back in action for their fall season with a new team in tow, the New York Cosmos. FC Dallas loanee Richard Sanchez and the Fort Lauderdale Strikers were in action in this weekend against the Cosmos in their return to the NASL.

Sanchez's first start for the Strikers didn't go as planned though as they dropped a 2-1 game to the Cosmos. Sanchez went the full 90 for the Strikers.

The FC Dallas Homegrown and Mexican youth international led the Strikers in front of a sold out Shuart Stadium at Hofstra University, made several big saves in the loss.

Former FC Dallas striker Peri Marosevic had the first goal for the Cosmos, scoring right before halftime.

Recently loaned forward Bradlee Baladez failed to make the game day roster for the Strikers but given how he was only in Fort Lauderdale for the last week, this wasn't too shocking to see. Sanchez on the other hand had been training with the Strikers for the last month.

Fort Lauderdale will return to action this weekend when they face Minnesota United FC at home.
