Anytime a club plays three games in a seven day span, the fatigue comments tend to pop up more than thoughts of actual injuries. That is the case for FC Dallas as they've played two straight games on the road in the past week and will wrap up this three game stretch tomorrow against the San Jose Earthquakes.
Several players went the full 90 in both the Portland and Chivas USA game. Raul Fernadnez, Matt Hedges, George John, Erick and Blas Perez all went the distance. Fabian Castillo and Kellyn Acosta came close with both getting subbed out past the 80th minute in one of the two matches.
Schellas Hyndman will have to shuffle his lineup a little bit again tomorrow night.
Just like before the Chivas game, the injury report saw no changes for tomorrow's match.
IR: Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms), Peter Luccin (torn ACL)
OUT: Andrew Jacobson (hamstring strain)
Questionable: Walker Zimmerman (hamstring strain), Eric Hassli (lower back spasm), Zach Loyd (ACL strain)
Suspended: Jackson (picked up two yellow cards against Chivas)
Dallas turned to the Metroplex on Thursday and trained Friday morning.
Jacobson is still out and will once again be unavailable this weekend. That will mark the third straight game without him in the line up.
Loyd on the other hand is still day-to-day according to Hyndman. I would imagine with the weekend off next week, the club will opt to rest him a little bit longer in hopes that it helps heal his ACL strain. Those are tough injuries to deal with in general. If you've ever had anything happen to an ACL, you'll know just how critical it is to get proper rest on it when it is hurt.
