FC Dallas Injury Update: No New Word On Zach Loyd

Defender still listed as day-to-day with an ACL strain.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Late Sunday, FC Dallas made their way down the west coast from Portland to Los Angeles ahead of their match with Chivas USA on Wednesday. The latest injury report is out in preparation for tomorrow's match and thankfully there is nothing new to add to the report from last week.

Yes, that means that same group of players are still injured. So, some good and some bad if you will.

IR: Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms), Peter Luccin (torn ACL)

OUT: Andrew Jacobson (hamstring strain)

Questionable: Walker Zimmerman (hamstring strain), Eric Hassli (lower back spasm), Zach Loyd (ACL strain)

The big ones are obviously still Loyd and Jacobson. Jacobson as we know didn't make the trip to Portland for the match with the Timbers and will be out again on Wednesday. There is no new news on his condition yet but I'd imagine he'll be on the shelf for a few weeks given how things looked and sounded last week when talking to him.

Loyd did not appear on the bench last weekend in Portland either, leaving me to believe that the earliest we'll see him will be this weekend against San Jose.

From this look, it appears we'll see more of Erick, Kellyn Acosta and possibly even Mauro Diaz in the starting lineup for FC Dallas tomorrow. As long as they are all fit and ready to go again, I can't see that as a bad thing.
