FC Dallas Injury Update: Improved Look

New, 3 comments

Only two players listed on the injury report.

Steven Bisig-US PRESSWIRE

A week off from league play has certainly helped out the walking wounded for FC Dallas.

I've been told that even a player like Peter Luccin is starting to get back to practice after dealing with an ACL injury from back in preseason. Don't get your hopes up just yet on seeing him anytime soon, I haven't seen him practice personally yet, so I have no clue as to whether or not he will be ready at any point this season to go.

But with that the injury report is seeing fewer names on it than what we've seen over the past few weeks.

IR: Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms), Peter Luccin (torn ACL)

Questionable: Walker Zimmerman (hamstring strain), Erick (hamstring strain)

Yep, just two players to talk about. Though I would lump a third in there with Eric Hassli and his back issues. But Hassli is suspended for this match so it doesn't really matter.

Just Zimmerman and Erick on the report. Neither made the trip to Seattle on Thursday with the club, so neither will be available for action on Saturday against the Sounders.

I would imagine we'll see more of Erick in training before we see Zimmerman. Those hamstring issues are so darn tricky to deal with. Still saying that, I wouldn't expect either player for next week's home match against Los Angeles.

Good news though is that the club did make it to Seattle with guys like George John, Andrew Jacobson and David Ferreira. All missed the last match against the Sounders back in May.
