FC Dallas Injury Update: Woodberry Out, Luccin Still Questionable

The rookie homegrown defender is out for this weekend.

I will try to make this one quick as FC Dallas has hit the road to face Real Salt Lake this weekend. The injury update provided by the club today revealed a new name on the list that we haven't seen on it all season long. Rookie homegrown defender London Woodberry is out of action for this weekend with a right knee injury.

Schellas Hyndman told BigDSoccer recently that Woodberry was progressing but at one point this year he did hit the usual rookie wall. Woodberry picked up the knee injury earlier this week in the Reserve League game against Columbus. He had a hard collision with rookie keeper Kyle Zobeck forced him to leave that game early.

The injury update also still lists veteran defensive midfielder Peter Luccin as questionable with a hamstring injury. The Frenchman participated in the Reserve League game earlier this week as well but did not go the full 90. More than likely he just isn't 100% yet to go the full 90 in a game. Given how there are so few games left, it is a wonder if we'll see him on the field at all this year for FC Dallas.

No new word on defender Jair Benitez however. The veteran full back missed last weekends game against the Crew. He picked up a knock in training late last week and was seen back on the field in the Reserve league game as well. He, like Woodberry and Luccin, did not go the full 90 and was subbed out early in the second half.
