FC Dallas Reaches Deal With Oscar Pareja

Club also will buy out the remaining time on his contract in Colorado.

This will be music to most of your ears. I received word late Tuesday night and once more this morning from two sources that FC Dallas has reached a deal with Oscar Pareja to become their next head coach. Neither club has commented on the situation but we should hear something soon.

One source tells me the club will also be buying out his contract from Colorado as a part of the deal. No word yet on if any draft picks or extra money has changed hands in this deal but I would imagine if Dan Hunt and his group bought out Pareja's contract, that will likely be enough for MLS.

The next question will undoubtedly be when will Pareja be presented as the new head coach? My best guess is it will come at the end of this week.

Colorado has made this saga very interesting and Pareja himself was even seen around Dick's Sporting Goods Park yesterday and Monday. He had little to do with the trade yesterday that involved two former FCD players, seeing Marvin Chavez come over from San Jose for Atiba Harris.

Once this becomes official from the clubs the real fun will certainly begin for each side. With less than a 10 days until the SuperDraft and with the MLS Combine this weekend, the club has a lot of work in front of them.
