Time to add another name to the coaching search list today.

Goal.com's Ives Galarcep is reporting that FC Dallas has been in contact with former league MVP and current Lanus head coach Guillermo Barros Schelotto about its vacant head coaching job.

The former Crew star was passed over for the Columbus head coaching position, but could wind up working for the same owner who owned the Crew when he helped lead the team to the 2008 MLS Cup title.

Schelotto was thought to be the front-runner in the Columbus Crew head coaching search a couple weeks ago before former United States national teamer Gregg Berhalter snatched up the job in the Ohio capital.

The Argentine legend has been the head coach of Lanus since the summer of 2012. His club went an impressive 8-2-9 in the Toreno portion of the season this past year, which was good enough for third place behind River Plate and Newell's Old Boys.

Schelotto had a great three season in Columbus with the Crew from 2007-2010, winning the MLS Cup in 2008. He scored 33 goals in 102 games for the Black-and-Gold.

Would Schelotto be a good fit in Dallas? It is tough to say but with the Latin connections it wouldn't be the worst move possible. What do you all make of this possibility?
