Another huge game for FC Dallas(29 points, 7-11-8) tonight as they travel to face Real Salt Lake at a packed Rio Tinto Stadium. Sorry for the late matchday thread, just a few things tonight
AJ Out No Jacobson tonight due to yellow card accumulation so look for a more empty bucket type midfield with Julian de Guzman and Daniel Hernandez playing together and David Ferreira playing higher above them.
5 points That will be the deficit behind Vancouver and LA at the end of the evening if Dallas can find a win tonight. Safe to say, this one is huge.
RSL Absences The RSL lineup is out and there will be no Kyle Beckerman, Will Johnson, Alvaro Saborio or Jamison Olave in the starting XI for RSL tonight. That's their spine right down the middle of the park and it looks like Ferreira may have some room to operate.
Referee Juan Guzman. AR1 (bench): Frank Anderson; AR2 (opposite): Mike Kampmeinert; 4th: Tyler Ploeger
MLS Career: 17 games; FC/gm: 26.2; Y/gm: 3.8; R: 6; pens: 4
Prediction(11-15) I think the RSL absences really hurt them tonight with Ferreira, Shea and Castillo firing on all cylinders. I think this one comes right down to the wire as RSL, if they're behind, has some major firepower to bring off the bench. If Dallas can resist getting into red/yellow card trouble, I think the positive momentum is too much for RSL.
2-1 FCD
