A move that's been in the works for weeks now looks to be completed as Brent Latham, a very well respected journalist based down in Guatemala, has reported that Moises Hernandez's loan move to Guatemalan side Comunicaciones is completed.
This seems like a great move for both sides in what is likely a loan with a purchase to buy option. Hernandez has struggled to find playing time for FCD this season behind Jair Benitez and Carlos Rodriguez at left back with his sole competitive appearance coming in the US Open Cup loss to Charlotte Eagles.
FC Dallas defender Moises Hernandez loan deal to Comunicaciones complete— Brent Latham (@BrentJavan) June 19, 2012
Hernandez is the only homegrown of four 2010 graduates(Bryan Leyva, Ruben Luna, Victor Ulloa) to have not seen playing time in an MLS game. Moises is a guy who has a ton of talent and plays the attacking left back style that Schellas likes, but finds himself caught out of position too many times to be trusted in an MLS game right now. However, the talent is certainly there and a change of scenery for a few months may bring him back to Dallas ready to compete for playing time in 2013.
