People love them some Brek Shea these days.

The FC Dallas midfielder came in first in a recent fan vote for the 2011 edition of the 24 Under 24.

Shea was followed up by fellow US national team players: No. 2 Juan Agudelo (New York Red Bulls), No. 3 Freddy Adu (Philadelphia Union) and No. 4 Teal Bunbury (Sporting Kansas City). Seattle Sounders winger Steve Zakuani rounds out the Top 5 list.

We won't know if Shea will top the official list on MLSSoccer.com until the "experts" release their votes. The countdown for this honor begins tomorrow.

Dallas also saw Fabian Castillo come in at No. 18 as well. One has to think had Castillo played with the club through the summer instead of with the Colombian U20 team, he would have been a little higher.

Sitting just outside the top 24 was Jackson Goncalves at number 25.
