It's a stat that has been displayed every time an MLS team travels south of the border. No MLS side has ever won a competitive game in Mexico. FC Dallas will have their first shot tomorrow night as they head to Mexico City. A few notes on tomorrow's match to discuss this morning.
You'll Never Win Anything With Kids Pumas is going to send out the reserves/Jovenes against FC Dallas tomorrow night, I've seen it in multiple areas but this tweet sums it up best. Now I'm not sure if Pumas is going to send out "Puros Jovenes" like that says, but expect a lot of youngsters. It will be interesting to see what kind of bench Pumas has because if Dallas jumps on these kids early, things could get very interesting if the Mexicans send in the cavalry for the second half.
Television Situation Right now, as far as I know the situation is that the game will not be shown live anywhere on television. The earliest you will be able to see the game on TV is at 10PM central as Galavision is showing it on a delay after the Mexico vs Brazil U20 World Cup semifinal. That could be pushed back if the game goes to extra time.
You will for sure be able to see the game in English on Fox Soccer at 1130PM central time after the Rapids vs Isidro Metapan game. I can't understand why and MLS team traveling to Mexico would get bumped down for an MLS team playing at home against Central America, but whatever. As for watching the game live, it might be streamed on the official CCL page. I'm just going to go off the grid until the game is on Galavision and hopefully no one spoils it for me.
Now for the good news Apparently Fabian Castillo will be with the team tomorrow for the game in Mexico City. Does this mean he will play? Well you'd certainly think he will make the bench if available and could play a huge role late in the game.
