While Fabian Castillo has already been called in to a preliminary camp, it was officially announced today that the FC Dallas attacking player will be a member of the Colombian U20 World Cup squad.

For Castillo, this is obviously a huge honor and he joins Kellyn Acosta and Richard Sanchez as FCD players who have played in youth World Cups this summer. Castillo, like Sanchez, will be playing on the host country as Colombia will be staging this year's tournament.

Colombia will face France on July 30, Mali on August 2 and South Korea on August 5.

While it's tough on Dallas to lose one of their best attackers for so long, getting Castillo back in mid-August will be like adding an elite attacker in the summer transfer window that doesn't need time to adjust to the league. If all goes to plan, Castillo will be back for Open Cup and possible CONCACAF Champions League group play.
