Sunday the First XI of the MLS All Star Game was released during halftime of the Portland-Seattle game. FC Dallas had one player represented in the First XI, midfielder Brek Shea.

Shea's eight-goal season so far helped gain him enough votes to be in the First XI, which is the fan vote.

Dallas struggled to get anyone else in the top XI with Shea as both New York and LA made up the majority of the First XI. Both of those teams combined had seven of the eleven players in the fan vote.

More than likely someone will replace Shea on the All Star roster (and anyone else from FCD for that matter) due to the club's involvement in the CONCACAF Champions League play-in game the day before the mid-summer match at Red Bull Arena with Manchester United. Still it is a big honor and a great thing to see a FCD player get recognized by the fans here.

Congrats Brek!
