Voting has closed and you have chosen Kevin Hartman as your player of the month for May 2011. El Gato was huge in net for Dallas in the month of May allowing just three goals in seven games including the longest scoreless streak in franchise history. On Saturday, Hartman hit a milestone that no other goalkeeper in Major League Soccer has achieved pitching his 100th shutout in league history, a record that may not be matched for a long time.

While Brek Shea fell just short to Hartman in the player of the month voting, his match-winner against Los Angeles was your goal of the month. Whether or not he meant it, there's no doubt that it could turn out to be the most important goal of the entire season as Dallas sits just five points behind the first place Galaxy with two games in hand.
