First Leg Of CONCACAF Champions League Play-In Game Set

We've been waiting a little while to find out exactly when FC Dallas would be going to El Salvador to face Alianze, after today we know.

FC Dallas will play in the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions League Play-In round on Thursday, July 28, at 9pm CT. The return leg scheduled in Dallas is still set for Wednesday August 3.

What this means for FC Dallas is that no players will be able to participate in the MLS All-Star Game in New York on the 27th against Manchester United. FC Dallas has six players on the ballot (Fabian Castillo, Brek Shea, Kevin Hartman, Daniel Hernandez, George John and Ugo Ihemelu). All can be selected to the game but don't count on any of them playing. Due to travel and the importance of this game against Alianze, I can't see Schellas Hyndman allowing any number of these important players to take off for a meaningless All Star Game.
