Today the MLS Kickoff linked to an article from El Pais, a Colombian paper, that sheds more light on the David Ferreira injury.

Among the highlights of the story include that Ferreira has ruptured ankle ligaments as well as his double break and that he hopes to have surgery done by a doctor in Colombia that he likes, hoping to have the surgery done this weekend.

It could be awhile before we see David Ferreira in an FC Dallas jersey again. There's a 10 minute audio interview in spanish with Ferreira at that link.
