I had heard rumblings this may happen for a couple months now and it was confirmed today that FC Dallas has played their last game in Pizza Hut Park.

After 7 years, the pizza chain has chosen to not renew their sponsorship deal for the stadium and it will now be called "FC Dallas Stadium" as the team searches for a new sponsor. According to the Houston Business Journal, the Pizza Hut Park sponsorship deal was worth $25 million over 20 years, but a poor economy has made that deal untenable for the pizza chain headquartered in Plano.

FC Dallas now joins Columbus Crew as the only two teams without a stadium sponsor or jersey sponsor heading into 2012.
