This past week marked the one year anniversary of my little site moving over to SB Nation. I just wanted write this quick post to say to everyone who reads this site, comments and supports FC Dallas passionately: Thank you. Starting a site like this was a dream of mine and to see it through like this has been an amazing process.

On the 365th day of the site being on SB Nation, we passed the 250,000 overall page views barrier with our highest month coming in August of this year. We had nearly 50,000 page views in that month that saw FCD enter the Champions League and nearly sell their star defender on to the Premier League.

I feel like I've only tapped about 25% of what myself and this site are capable of and I'm so excited to have the support of everyone that reads Big D Soccer. Work centered around the Texas Rangers World Series run(sob cry) and the vacation I just took has seriously eaten into the time I could put into the site for the last 6 weeks or so as I'm sure all of you have noticed, but things have settled down now.

Unfortunately, that coincides with the all-too-early demise of the 2011 FC Dallas season, but there's still plenty of stuff to discuss in the short off-season. Among the things I've got penciled into the coming weeks include:

-Season analysis and grades for FC Dallas players and coaching staff

-Profiling potential draft candidates

-FC Dallas Academy and Academy graduate coverage

-Expansion draft

-You be the GM

-Impending transfer sagas

As always, if there are any topics you'd like for me to look into further in-depth, I'm always open for story suggestions and if you would even like to go as far as being added as a writer for the site, shoot me an e-mail with what you'd like to do and we can work together!

Thanks again for the support, readership and contributions! Vamos FCD!

Sincerely,

Daniel Robertson
