Inter Milan: What to look for...

We know pretty much all the stars, minus Sneijder , have come to Frisco with Inter, but what kind of lineup could we see tonight?

Well Rafa says in this article that we wont see Javier Zanetti tonight and there will be changes from the Panathinaikos lineup

"Against Dallas - says the coach - I will make changes, we will turn other players. Zanetti for precaution, for example, will rest, but for him it's nothing serious. There will be space for young players, certainly, from their work, their desire to make good and their quality we are all impressed. We intend to make them play not only during the pre-season."

It's very likely that we could see Brazil's #1 Julio Cesar starting in goal tonight for Inter given that his backup Paolo Orlandoni played 90 minutes in Toronto on Tuesday. The back 4 should be almost as good as it gets for Inter with Maicon-Lucio-Samuel-Rivas all coming off the bench late in the Tuesday night game meaning they're the fresh ones that should be started tonight. Youngster Davide Santon, a legend for any of you out there who play Football Manager, could also feature in the starting lineup at the back for Inter.

The midfield should feature Ghanaian and Serbian internationals Sulley Muntari and Dejan Stankovic in the center of the park and hopefully Brazilian Mancini will make his first start of the pre-season flying down the right side. He featured for 30 minutes in the Man City game last weekend so hopefully he gets a full start as some of his moves are electrifying. On the left side, we could see a mix of Goran Pandev, Coutinho, or Denis Alibec.

At forward, it's unclear the formation that Inter is playing this pre-season and if they're putting two forwards out there. It's unlikely that Eto'o starts the game as he started the last one and with Diego Milito having only played 15 minutes so far this pre-season, I think the man who scored a brace in the Champions League Final gets the start. I would guess theres a pretty good chance that Mario Balotelli features also along with Nigerian international Victor Obinna.

Here's my prediction for Inter's lineup, though I'm not 100% familiar with the formation that Rafa will put out there so the shape could be a bit different.

I don't know about you, but I'm ready to get out to PHP tonight. Be advised that the team is ridiculously charging for parking tonight and get there early because at 7:30, they're unveiling a Lamar Hunt tribute statue . The link does not say where that statue will be, but I would guess in front of the north box office.

Edit: Thanks Dana, the statue is on the north concourse
