It is not every day that someone like Tim Cowlishaw attends a FC Dallas game. He's done it once before but to be fair he didn't stay for the entire game. On Wednesday he was back and this time, he stuck around for the entire show. Good on him, hopefully he'll become more of a fan of a team in town that is actually winning (Rangers not included in that snarky comment).

Rick Gosselin was in the press box on Saturday and he wrote up this lovely column about how the Brek Shea money transformed FC Dallas for this season. A couple good quotes from it:

"Brek was disproportionately heavy against our salary cap," Hunt said. "Moving him effectively created about $1 million in cap room for us.

"So we were able to add four players by moving one player — Je-Vaughn Watson, Ramon Nunez, Eric Hassli and Kenny Cooper — and we still have cap room to add a very high-end soccer player."

Finally, we're getting reports that plastic cups will replace aluminum bottles on the garden as soon as this weekend. We had always been opposed to the bottles for this precise reason, and our voices grew louder in this regard after Saturday, but remained rational and reasonable. We're thrilled at this development and thank the front office for their prompt decision.
