Tuesday evening I was the guest on Pitch Pass to discuss everything FC Dallas related for this season. Greg Roche asks about the quick start, what is working for the club, as well as a quick look ahead at this weekend's game with LA. Give it a listen, there is also a segment with Houston's Brad Davis.
Don't look now, but FC Dallas is currently sitting atop the MLS Supporters' Shield race after one month. Not bad folks. Not bad.
Last week it was scarfing the Sam Houston statue. This week fans strike again with a giant scarf on this week's opponent, Real Salt Lake.
I won't get into this too much but do yourself a favor and read the PDF linked in SBI's article here. It gives a good detailed view of what went down when Daniel Hernandez was fired by FC Dallas late last year.
A nice, feel-good kind of story for the afternoon. Super Raton, Blas Perez visited a local kid in Frisco. Pretty cool of Perez to take time to visit a middle schooler.
"I would say he will not be 100 percent by March 2," Hyndman said. "We’re probably looking closer to four to six weeks away."
MLS is going a bit ambitious with their latest campaign on Facebook. This is a "TrueColors" art series that highlights fan created art for each MLS club. Here is FC Dallas's piece by Steve Palmer of California. What do you think of this? It's not too bad but at the same time I'm not totally in love with it.
FCDallas.com is profiling the club supporters group here and they kick off the series with a look at the DF Elite group.
Frisco, Prosper, and surrounding area North of FCD Stadium is growing fast. This is great news for those who think Frisco is a Dallas outlier. Its taken time but I think the FCD stadium location is really starting to pay off. We may never have a downtown stadium like Portland, but Frisco is becoming more urban, and less suburban fast. Now we just need a naming sponsor & DART to connect it all!
heh heh heh....well played Mr. Garber
