FCD hopes to end their current three game losing streak.

The season rolls on for a second time this week as FC Dallas is in California to battle the San Jose Earthquakes.

FC Dallas hasn't won in Santa Clara since 2009. The Quakes have won three of the five home meetings since, with two draws.

Goalscoring pace. With 19 goals in 10 games, FC Dallas is averaging 1.9 goals per game. According to the club's game notes, if the team can maintain that pace throughout the season, FC Dallas would end the year with 64.6 goals, destroying the franchise record of 55, which was set during the 1997 season (in 32 games). FC Dallas (19) trails only Seattle Sounders FC (22) in goals scored this season. e.

Zimmerman against SJ. Last year as a rookie, Walker Zimmerman debuted for FC Dallas in May against San Jose. Going up against the likes of Chris Wondolowski, Alan Gordan and Stephen Lenhart, the rookie was able to go the full 90 and help FCD earn the shutout win.

Quick stats from Seattle game - Here are the Opta stats from last week's game:

The San Jose Earthquakes and FC Dallas meet in a battle of Western Conference clubs Saturday evening at Buck Shaw Stadium. The Quakes remain home after playing to a scoreless draw at midweek with the Colorado Rapids. FC Dallas saw their losing slide reach three games, also at midweek, starting their road swing with a 2-1 loss at Seattle Sounders FC.

Prediction:

I think this is a must-win game right now for Pareja and company. Losing three straight and four out of their last five is not a good way to go right now. San Jose is a tricky team and one that always plays well at home. They're also a team that never really quits in a game either, which can be tough for a team like FCD that has a tendency to give up late goals. FCD needs to get out on top and not let go in this one. I think in the end though it will be a draw, which isn't the worst result to get on the road.

FC Dallas 1, San Jose 1
