2016 Copa America coming to USA

It's confirmed; the rumors were true. The 2016 Copa America will be held in the USA! Venues have not been confirmed, but the rumor is that NRG (formerly Reliant) Stadium in Houston will be a host.

In addition to all 10 South American teams, the USA, Mexico, 2 Caribbean, and the 2 highest Gold Cup finishers will be invited. The South American teams will have played a Copa America the year before - 2015 is in Chile. The 2016 version is a special edition for the 100th anniversary, or centenario.

There will be hurdles to clear to get on the FIFA calendar - not competing with Euro 2016, WC qualifying, and the MLS and Liga MX schedules - but CONCACAF, CONMEBOL, and FIFA are meeting to work it out.
