Where has the week gone? I can't say I'm complaining that it is Friday already though. Time for the weekend and one final FC Dallas friendly in Florida against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
But first it is time to get your morning started off right with some links.

It was a last second scrimmage for FCD on Thursday. Good chance for a few new faces to get some minutes as well. But this one was more for the younger guys as Danny Garcia scored twice.
This year's event is going to be huge. You all need to be there. The new jersey will be shown off and I'm being told we'll find out officially who the team captain will be.

Clearly the biggest story of Thursday was this one. The league finally did the right thing and pulled the plug on the failed experiment called Chivas USA.
Plenty of good quotes from MLS commissioner Don Garber in this one about the league taking over Chivas.
And even more detail about the league's expansion plans. Basically he mentioned a couple cities and everyone got all excited.
The pipeline in LA is turning out to be pretty ridiculous these days.
Apparently this version of the Quakes wants to be more defensive and tougher than the foul happy, score late group that they have had these last two years.
Crazy that back at MLS Cup, Garber told SI.com that Chivas was a bad move for the league. Good to see him own up to it and take it over.
This could possible be the most disappointing thing about the whole Chivas story from yesterday.
There are going to be a lot of big names rumored with Miami over the next couple of years.
A nice cautionary tale about seeing new stadium renderings for various teams out there.

I'm not much of a motorcycle person but even I think these are pretty bad ass.
And finally our stadium tour takes us to Germany with the Esprit Arena
What did you make of MLS buying Chivas USA? Excited to see that brand go away and something new come into the league next year? Any big plans for the weekend? Let's discuss that and everything else below.
