Mexico to Play Ecuador In Arlington on May 31

Jerome Miron-US PRESSWIRE

The Mexican national team is set to play a series of friendlies before the World Cup.

The Mexican national team is returning to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas for a friendly with South American side Ecuador on May 31 at 3pm.

Just like the United States national team, Mexico is using a series of friendlies to prepare for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil later this summer.

Mexico will play Portugal on June 6 at Gilette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. and Bosnia and Herzegovina in Chicago on June 3. They will also play the US in Arizona on April 2 as well as Nigeria in Atlanta next month.

Mexico last played in Arlington during the Gold Cup last summer when they lost to Blas Perez and Panama in the semifinal. Their last friendly in the stadium came two summers ago when they played Brazil.

Just last month, Mexico played another friendly in the Lone Star State, as they downed South Korea 4-0 in the Alamo Dome in San Antonio.

Tickets for this match will go on sale on February 21.
