FC Dallas Injury Update: Same Story, Different Week

USA TODAY Sports

Same cast of characters on this week's injury list.

Just like over the past couple of weeks, the FC Dallas injury reports looks awfully familiar. But for one player, things are improving.

Defender Zach Loyd played 76 minutes earlier this week in a 3-1 Reserve League win over Toronto FC. Loyd was subbed out late in the match but overall didn't look as bothered by is injured ACL as he had in recent week. Loyd is expected to be back on the bench again this weekend, when FC Dallas hosts the Columbus Crew.

IR: Ugo Ihemelu (concussion symptoms)

DL: Eric Hassli (lower back strain)

Questionable: Peter Luccin (hamstring strain)

The other update on the injury what is of veteran midfielder Peter Luccin. The Frenchman did not see any action during this week's friendly due to a hamstring issue that popped up last week in Colorado in a Reserve League match against the Rapids. Luccin pulled himself out of that match when he felt some soreness in his hamstring. The veteran was given the Toronto game off by Schellas Hyndman. The question will come, will he make the 18-man roster on Sunday?
