The good times keep rolling for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and FC Dallas goalkeeper Richard Sanchez. The Homegrown keeper helped lift the Strikers to their third straight win of the 2013 NASL fall season on Friday night, in a 1-0 shutout over the Carolina RailHawks. The third straight win also marks the longest winning streak in Strikers history.
Sanchez had several saves on the night, including two in stoppage time. Carolina tested Sanchez early in this one, but the young Mexican keeper was quick to make sure he got the clean sheet for the second straight game.
Strikers' Darnell King scored the game-winner in the 52nd minute off an assist from Honduran defender Ivan Guerrero, who also handed the RailHawks their first loss of the fall season.
FC Dallas loanee Bradlee Baladez did not make the bench in this one.
The next match for the Strikers will be Saturday, September 7th, 2013 against the San Antonio Scorpions at historic Lockhart Stadium.
