FC Dallas manager Schellas Hyndman has said all week the same thing in regards to some injured players ahead of this weekend's friendly with English Premier League side Stoke City. Hyndman doesn't want to risk certain players this weekend.
The good news for Dallas fans is that the concussion issues that Brazilian midfielder Jackson has been dealing with are now all cleared up. Jackson went through the league's protocol to be cleared to play. Major League Soccer requires players who have had a concussion of any grade to go be cleared by a head specialist, followed up by being able to four training sessions before he can play in a league game again.
Jackson is now available to go through training, which he will on Friday for the first time since being sidelined with the head injury. Hyndman told 3rdDegree's Steve Hunt that he would still likely play on Saturday against the Potters.
Two players who will not go on Saturday are rookie center back Walker Zimmerman and newcomer Erick. Both players are still battling hamstring injuries ahead of Saturday's friendly. In the case of Erick, the club is hoping he will be available next weekend when the club travels to Seattle.
