The more games played in one week, the more injuries can pile up for a club. That is the case for FC Dallas as they are in Pennsylvania this weekend to take on the Philadelphia Union. After playing a physical match last weekend against Sporting Kansas City and then another in the US Open Cup on Wednesday against the Portland Timbers, more question marks popped up on the club's injury report.
All of that is pretty tough to swallow in some ways. There is also no mention of Matt Hedges who missed Wednesday's game with a calf injury. All signs seemed to indicate that he traveled with the club and is available for tomorrow's game with the Union.
So now we have John and Loyd back on the injury report. Loyd, I'm not surprised about as on Wednesday he went down in the first half with an injury. He toughed it out like he always does and finished the game. So would Schellas Hyndman opt not to play him and move a rested Michel back to the defense? Maybe.
Seeing John on the report isn't too shocking either as on Wednesday he appeared to hobble around the locker room a little bit after the game. Hamstring injuries can linger throughout the year anyways and it kept him out for a couple games earlier in the season.
Update: George John and Zach Loyd did not travel to Philadelphia with the team thanks their injuries. Matt Hedges did though. Looks like we'll see Hedges, Zimmerman, Benitez and Woodberry in the back tomorrow.
