FC Dallas World Cup Qualifying Roundup - Panama Drops To United States, Peru Struggles in Colombia and Jamaica Nearly Out

One out, one barely played and one struggled on the road. Long night for the three FCD players in qualifying.

It was a pretty rough evening for the three FC Dallas players in last night's World Cup qualifying. One was out sick, one was a late sub and one started but his squad lost.

Sometimes that is how things go in World Cup qualifying.

Here is a quick round-up of how the three FC Dallas players did in last night's games.

Blas Perez - Panama

Super Raton didn't make the trip to the Pacific Northwest as he was out battling the stomach flu that he caught during last Friday's 0-0 draw against Mexico. Not sure if Perez would have made that much difference for Panama as the United States ran all over them at Century Link Field in Seattle.

Jozy Altidore scored a solid goal in the first half as he beat former FC Dallas defender Carlos Rodriguez on the far post. Fabian Johnson set up Altidore, who is just on impressive form these days.

Seattle Sounder forward Eddie Johnson scored the game's second goal in front of his home crowd.

Panama is currently fifth in CONCACAF qualifying, but with the extra game in hand on Mexico at the moment, they could move up the charts next week when face Costa Rica.

Je-Vaughn Watson - Jamaica

Another rough showing for Jamaica as they lost 2-0 to Honduras Tuesday night. Watson was a late sub in the match when the game was already a foregone conclusion.

The Reggae Boyz are now way back in the pack with just three games left in qualifying. Looks like they will be starting to plan for 2018 by the way things are looking.

Raul Fernandez - Peru

The theme of the night continues as Peru was downed 2-0 by Colombia. Fernandez had a decent night but he gave up a penalty to Falcao early in the match and the home side added a second just before halftime.

Peru went down a man with 20 minutes left, leaving them without any chances to gain a point.

Peru is currently seventh in CONMEBOL qualifying. The top four go to Brazil with the fifth place team facing the fifth place AFC team.
