The Fire got two first half goals from Maicon Santos and Corben Bone. Dallas nearly caught a break in the second half when Wells Thompson went out of the game with his second yellow card. The Hoops capitalized moments later with a lovely goal from Homegrown player Kellyn Acosta.
Dallas wasn't able to pull a second one back as Bobby Warshaw missed a penalty kick late in stoppage time.
With the loss, FC Dallas Reserves move to 0-4-0 on the season in the Reserve League.
Once again, FC Dallas used a big mix of Academy players, Homegrowns and a couple reserves from the first team in the Reserve league match. While the loss is disappointing, this is all about getting the younger guys some minutes and to evaluate the Academy talent.
I'm sure many of you will be curious as to why Ramon Nunez and Stephen Keel did not travel, both are close to returning but it still looks like they are a couple more weeks out here.
