Two FC Dallas academy alumni remain in the hunt for the 2013 College Cup.

Just two FC Dallas academy alumni remain in the hunt for the 2013 College Cup. After a couple close third round matches, both Maryland and New Mexico have advanced to the Elite Eight.

There were a couple big results in the rest of the field as UCONN downed Number 1 seed UCLA on Sunday in penalty kicks. Michigan State also upset Georgetown on the weekend.

Mikey Ambrose (Maryland)

Ambrose and Maryland outlasted UC Irvine on Sunday to the tune of a 1-0 result. Ambrose played the full match for the Terps as they advance to the next round.

Maryland will travel west this weekend to play the number 4 seed California.

Nicholas Rochowski (New Mexico)

New Mexico got two second half goals on their way to beating Penn State 2-0 on Sunday. Rochowski came off the bench and played 14 minutes in the win, he also had one shot on goal during the match.

New Mexico will now travel to Washington this weekend to face the number 2 seeded Huskies.
