Fort Lauderdale hammers Atlanta over the weekend.

Just like the FC Dallas season, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers saw their post season chances come to an end recently. But that didn't stop the Strikers from pounding out their frustrations on the Atlanta Silverbacks this past weekend. The Strikers won Saturday's game 6-2 thanks to another strong effort in goal by FC Dallas loanee Richard Sanchez and two goals from Bradlee Baladez.

The game marked the first time in team history the Strikers scored six goals in a regular season match.

Former FC Dallas Homegrown striker Ruben Luna scored an equalizer in the 34th minute of the match after capitalizing on a defensive error. Strikers' defender Milton Blanco slipped his teammate through behind the napping Strikers defense for Luna to power a shot past Sánchez from close range.

Baladez came off the bench and was still able to score two goals.

Baladez lobbed the keeper from outside the box for his first of the night before sweeping a counter-attacking move from the left across the keeper for his brace.

The Strikers will take on Minnesota United FC on Saturday October 26 at 7PM. The team then will close out the 2013 Fall Season at home when they take on FC Edmonton.
