The Final Word: All For Schellas

Everyone else gives their take on the 2-0 win over Seattle.

We've had our take on the 2-0 win over the Seattle Sounders, now we let others tell their side of the story.

Matt Barbour, MLSSoccer.com - "The game ball, which had been signed by every player, was presented to Hyndman after the match. Goalkeeper Chris Seitz echoed Hedges' appreciation for the coach bringing him to the club and said that, "we definitely wanted to leave him at home on a good note. He deserves it and it's the least we can do for him."

Matt Barbour, MLSSoccer.com - "I feel like above the players, above the directors, above the coaches, above everything is the club," Michel explained through an interpreter after FC Dallas' 2-0 win at Toyota Stadium. "That was my homage to the club. The club opened their doors for me at a tough time for me in my career."

Jeremiah Oshan, MLSSoccer.com - "It rests on my shoulders that we haven't been able to come up with combinations that work for us," Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid told reporters afterward. "We've had some chances but haven't been able to convert those chances. Guys are trying, they're fighting and battling. The combinations on the field just haven't been able to produce the goals that we wanted and needed at this point. The guys are obviously disappointed."

Dave Clark, SounderatHeart.com - "Saturday's downfall came about due to a long time weakness of the club - set-plays. Mix in a lineup that was surprising in that it continued the benching of Michael Gspuring and continued to include the little used Alex Caskey. While the second goal was not on Marcus Hahnemann the first must have some blame on the man who has been a Sounder from his first moment as a pro."

Joshua Mayers, Seattle Times, quote from Sigi Schmid - "It rests on my shoulders that we haven't been able to come up with combinations that work for us. We've had some chances but haven't been able to convert those chances. Guys are trying, they're fighting and battling. The combinations on the field just haven't been able to produce the goals that we wanted and needed at this point. The guys are obviously disappointed.

Sometimes maybe the pass is off a little bit, at the wrong time, the wrong place. Right now we seem to be pressing a little bit and that's my responsibility."
