Conference play is in full bloom for most colleges right now. Several FC Dallas academy players contributed big over the weekend in the process.
Here is how the FC Dallas Academy folks did in week 5:
Boyd Okwuono (North Carolina) - Okwuono started and played the full 90 in a surprising 1-0 loss to William & Mary last Tuesday. He followed that up with another full 110 minutes in a 1-1 draw against ACC rivals Wake Forest.
Mikey Ambrose (Maryland) - The sophomore defender started and played the full 90 in a 1-1 draw against Old Dominion last Tuesday. Ambrose and Maryland then beat Pittsburgh over the weekend. Ambrose ended the game with one assist.
Nicholas Rochowski (New Mexico) - Rochowski started and played 47 minutes on Friday in a 2-1 loss to UC Davis. On Monday, Rochowski came off the bench and played 32 minutes in a 3-1 win at Marshall.
Jack Coleman (Duke) - Duke downed Wright State last Tuesday 2-1, Coleman went the full 90 in the win. Over the weekend, Coleman had one goal in 88 minutes of action in a 3-1 loss at Notre Dame.
Aaron Guillen (Florida Gulf Coast) - Guillen started and played the full 99 minutes in a 3-2 OT win over Penn on Friday. Gullien played the full 93 minutes in a 1-0 OT win on Sunday against Princeton.
Mark Ashby (Harvard) - Ashby started in the draw to Boston last week, had one shot in the game. On Sunday, started once more in a 1-0 loss to St. Francis.
Skylar Jagun (Old Dominon) - Jagun did not play in ODU's match this weekend.
Jaime Ibarra (SMU) - Two losses for Ibarra and SMU over the weekend. He started and played the full match in both losses to Washington and Portland.
Jordan Cano (SMU) - The freshman midfielder did not see the field either loss over the weekend.
Marco Carrizales (SMU) - He came off the bench and played 50 minutes in the loss to Washington. He started the Portland game but only managed to go 29 minutes.
Damian Rosales (SMU) - He had one assist in the Washington loss, in which he played the full match. He started and played 85 minutes in the loss to Portland.
Caleb Underwood (SMU) - The freshman keeper did not see any action over the weekend.
Abdul Yassine (SMU) - The freshman forward/midfielder did not see the field this weekend.
Bobby Edet (Furman) - He started in the 1-1 draw to Appalachian State.
Marco Ortiz (Furman) - He started in the 1-1 draw to Appalachian State.
Morgan Dizney (Dayton) -Dizney did not see action in the wins over the weekend for the Flyers.
Jesus Dominguez (Liberty) - Dominguez started in the 1-0 win over UNC Asheville.
Victor Portillo (Liberty) - The Freshman midfielder came off the bench in the 1-0 win over UNC Ashville.
Fernando Laverde (Central Florida) - He started and played the full 90 in a 2-0 loss at Charlotte. He followed that up with another full 90 in a 2-1 win over Cincinnati. Laverde had one assist in the win against the Bearcats.
Kristoffer Reaves (Wake Forest) - The freshman outside back did not see any action last week for Wake Forest.
