Dallas would get two second half goals from Matt Hedges and Michel.
The win would be just the second ever over the Sounders for Dallas and the first win against the Emerald City side in Frisco.
The Sounders pressed the Dallas back line early in the match. A few minutes into the match defender DeAndre Yedlin made a run from his right back post up the sideline and was able to beat one Dallas defender before firing off a shot on to Chris Seitz's goal. Luckily for Dallas fans Seitz was up to the task and made a comfortable save.
In the 14th minute thing got physical between the two sides. Jackson tackled Clint Dempsey hard in the middle of the field. On the back end of the tackle Dempsey clipped Jackson and the Brazilian quickly stood up to show his displeasure with the foul. Once the scuffle was resolved Dallas midfielder Peter Luccin was issued a yellow card for dissent.
Dallas would get their chances later on in the first half. In the 34th minute, Dallas had several close chances that resulted in either a corner kick or dangerous spot for a throw in. Each time the ball was worked wide by Dallas, the final ball into the penalty box just was not there for someone to finish.
The best chance in the first half for Dallas came in the 43rd minute, Fabian Castillo worked his way into the penalty box thanks to some fancy footwork. Once he got clear of a defender he put a shot in on goal that went just wide.
Right at half time there was another incident involving Jackson, but this time it was with his own team mate as he and David Ferreira got tangled up. Jackson would be subbed out to start the second half.
Dallas would get their breakthrough in the 64th minute off a free kick by Michel. The ball sent in by the Brazilian was perfectly weighted and Hedges head it down into the back of the net.
Seattle would have several chances following the Dallas goal. Their best was on a set piece in the 80th minute taken by Dempsey. The former Fulham striker would take the free kick low but it just skimmed by the left goal post and went out of bounds.
Michel would put Dallas up by two in the 87th minute. Ferreira would take a shot from outside the penalty box, only to be deflected off Patrick Ianni. Michel was waiting behind Ianni and gobbled up the open ball and slotted it home by Hahnemann.
Dallas nearly got a third goal in stoppage time from Blas Perez. The Dallas forward took a ball from Jair Benitez on the far side line, Perez shot on goal was gobbled up by Hahnemann and cleared out for a corner.
Following the game, the Dallas players all got around Hyndman to honor him for his time with the club.
