Howdy folks!! With the SuperDraft so close we're keeping you up to date on the going's on at FC Dallas and around the league!
So FC Dallas has the 7th pick in the first round and the 1st (20th overall) pick in the 2nd round. With needs at forward, midfield, and winger what should the Hoops address in Thursdays SuperDraft?
When it comes to drafting talent out of the college game through the MLS SuperDraft, Hydman has gotten his style of picks down over the last couple of years......But will that mean for the fourth-straight draft Hydman will select a defensive-type player in the first round?

Daniel spoke with FCD Technical Director Fernando Clavijo over at FCDallas.com about the young signings the team has already made this offseason and how that will effect the way they approach the draft on Thursday.
Whether or not Dallas get the players they’ve targeted on Thursday, one thing is for certain. They’re delighted with the youngsters they’ve already added to their squad, which begins preseason training next weekend.
Clavijo also opened up about the possible draft strategy that the team will take.
"The draft is coming, but we’re still working with everything else trying to figure out whether some of those international things may happen before the draft," said Clavijo. "No question about it, it’s moving parts right now until the end of January."
As a fan I have to say that it's really nice having a TD with such deep connections south of the border. And no....we won't speak about that whole Matias Jara thing.
Ives Galarcep has a piece up over at his sight soccerbyives.net about teams looking to move players and picks in order to move up or down in the draft.

US Soccer announced today that the USMNT will have it's first home game of the Final Round of World Cup Qualifying at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado on March 22nd against Costa Rica.
"We are really excited to play our first home qualifying match at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park," said U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. "Winning games at home in World Cup qualifying is crucial, and we really are expecting the fans in Colorado to bring us a huge home-field advantage."
I think the main reasoning for this is to get the team acclimated to higher altitudes in preparation for Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.
Make sure you check out SB Nations MLS mock draft. Our own Daniel Robertson of course picked for our beloved Hoops.
7. FC Dallas - John Stertzer
It came down to choosing between Stertzer and Dillon Powers for this pick and FC Dallas Goes with the ACC kid. FCD loves the ACC and will be very familiar with Stertzer who played four years with recent homegrown signing London Woodberry.
You guys make sure to check out the SuperDraft on Thursday. It will be streamed live on MLSSoccer.com for those, like myself, that will sadly be working on Thursday.
