For some it's just a regular Tuesday night, but for three CONCACAF nations with FCD connections, it's a night that could define their soccer landscape for many years to come.
After suffering a shock defeat down in Jamaica, Brek Shea and the United States shockingly sit tied with Guatemala for second place in group A tied with four points, three points behind Jamaica for top spot. USA takes on Jamaica at a sold out Crew Stadium tonight in what should be an emotional game on 9-11.
You wonder if Shea could perhaps be given a starting nod tonight after the ineffectiveness of the US wing attack on Friday night. At any rate, he figures to play some part in the match.
An equally enormous match in CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying takes place down in Panama City tonight as Blas Perez and Carlos Rodriguez take on Julian de Guzman and Canada. Through three games, Canada sits in first place with seven points, Panama in second with six and Honduras on their heels with four points.
Should Panama defeat Canada tonight, they will jump back into first place and put themselves in a great position to advance on to the final round of World Cup Qualifying while Canada is guaranteed passage to the hexagonal with a win. Just no injuries please.
After the jump, what's going on in Frisco tonight
While the huge World Cup Qualifiers happen across the continent, it's back to work for the FC Dallas reserves with a league game tonight against Colorado at FC Dallas Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30PM...so why not join me by setting the USA game for Tivo and coming out to support the reserves....anyone? Just me?
I'll be sure to let ya'll know what happens in the reserve game with a report.
