The other shoe has finally dropped. After yesterday's announcement from FC Dallas where they loaned striker Ruben Luna to the second division side in San Antonio, the club was set to announce another signing in the coming hours.

That time has come as FC Dallas announced this morning the signing of 25-year old Argentine striker Matias Jara.

Jara played the 2011-12 season with Argentine second division side Guillermo Brown. The 25-year-old forward made 15 appearances last season, netting two goals.

"Matias gives us some much needed depth at striker," said FC Dallas head coach Schellas Hyndman. "It's no secret we've been hit hard with injuries this year and we needed more experience and options at such a high impact position."

Jara has decent size (5-foot-10) and some speed to him. He's fairly young but experienced enough that he could contribute right away until Blas Perez returns (which could be fairly soon if you believe his recent tweets).
