FC Dallas looks to end their franchise record 11-game winless streak tonight vs a Toronto FC side that has lost just once in their last six games. It's the traditional July 4 game at FC Dallas Stadium and should be a total sellout tonight.
M*A*S*H Update As we all know by now, David Ferreira and Ricardo Villar will return to the matchday squad in some capacity tonight. My hunch says Ferreira starts but that's simply because it doesn't make a lot of sense to put Villar and Ferreira on the bench as they both play the same position. Either way, it will be an emotional and fantastic moment when David Ferreira steps onto the pitch again tonight.
Jackson might miss the game with a late ankle injury picked up on Thursday while Jair Benitez is out due to a knee contusion. Blas Perez is unlikely to play also while Ugo Ihemelu is out and George John could likely return to the bench.
FCD vs TFC FC Dallas is 6-1-3 against Toronto FC and undefeated in MLS play in Frisco with a 4-0-1 record including 9 goals in those 5 games. Last season, FC Dallas beat Toronto 1-0 three times but lost that crucial Champions League game 3-0 at FC Dallas Stadium.
Quick Turnaround There will be a quick turnaround after tonight's game as FCD faces San Jose on Saturday in Frisco. Last night the Earthquakes lost 2-1 at Portland.
KH400 Kevin Hartman will become the first player to log 400 MLS appearances tonight as he starts in goal for FCD vs TFC. In those 400 appearances Hartman has 395 starts which is 5 more than the combined total of the 14 players that saw the field for TFC in their last game vs NY.
Keys to the Game
Working Ferreira Back In It may not be pretty working El Torito back into the fold. Schellas said he's at 65% and whether that merits a start or a bench appearance remains to be seen, but as he goes FCD will go. It's tough to say exactly how you go about working him back in other than giving him the ball and making smart runs.
Strong in the Air In watching a few TFC games this season, it seems like they're a team with two big forwards who are good in the air in Koevermans and Johnson. That seems to work into FCD's hands with big Matt Hedges and Hernan Pertuz out there.
Just Score It's simple and obvious but you have to score goals tonight. Simply put. FC Dallas has scored more than once just one time in the last 11 games...11 games they haven't won. Score goals.

Prediction - 8-9 on the Season
I'm on an awful run with my predictions right now. I guess it's just that you expect the winless streak to end eventually. Simply put, FCD must win this game if they want to stay in the playoff race. The run has to start now or never which is, I think, a reason why you may throw Ferreira into the starting lineup whether he's 100% ready or not.
I think the sellout crowd and tired TFC team plus simple drive to end the streak is enough to push Dallas over the line tonight and finally win a game again.
