So this is not a question I'm posing b/c I am a huge fan of Shellas, I'm pretty neutral on the guy overall, but I've noticed a trend on the facebook pages, Big D, and 3rd Degree regarding Shellas.
I'm trying to figure out if this is the internet being the internet, or if fans really have beef with our chief. If we look at this record before this year, it was mostly a good record. The argument could be made that we've had some pretty significant injury issues this year. We've had several play off appearances, a championship game, and some solid signings. Since I've been following FCD we've seemed to grown in size of supporters and recognition in the DFW area.
Being relatively new-ish north Texas I have noticed one thing about the sports fans in this area. They tend to be very docile for the most part (i.e sit at the game and text rather than watch and participate) and the more hardcore fans tend to be very knee-jerk "why haven't the cowboys won 4 more Superbowls! this year will be the year! (every year)"
So with this in mind, I ask, why the hate towards Shellas? He's gotten us to the playoffs more often than not, and I feel like we have a solid talent-core to this team. Has he made some bad calls? (The Benetiz PK anyone?) Sure, all coaches do, but I'm not sure they warrant the disdain some fans seem to have.
