Today was a quick hit practice as you'd expect before a game. Nothing too major just some light scrimmaging and working through things with the starting XI plus a little bit of set piece work. Nothing worth a full report but a few notes for you.
Packed House With the college academy guys still there plus the return of the Panamanians and Jon Top from national team duty, it was pretty packed. Nearly 30 guys out there in full training today which is great to see.
Saturday's Status For the Blas Perez update you'll have to read my MLSsoccer article. Hernan Pertuz came through training well today and he has been upgraded to probable in the MLS Injury Report. A great sign and you'll probably see the Colombian start tomorrow. Everything else is pretty much status quo.
Coleman Transferring Jack Coleman, one of FCD's brightest collegiate prospects, is transferring from Indiana to Duke for the fall semester. In college soccer you don't have to sit out a year so Coleman joins the FCD ACC army that includes London Woodberry, Daniel Garcia, Boyd Okwuono and Mike Ambrose. It's baffling to me as to how Indiana never played this guy in his freshman year, a guy who started MLS Reserve League games and didn't look out of place.
Leyva's Time to Shine I think tomorrow is going to be a big day for Bryan Leyva. Call it a hunch but look out for the kid tomorrow. That's all I'm going to say for now.
Tomorrow I'll be live from the BBVA Compass Stadium Press Box participating in the MLS live chat during the game. I will post a link to it in our matchday thread tomorrow so be sure to join if you're not down in Houston.
