I love Dallas this much
Seattle made one of the biggest splashes of the MLS off-season trading Mike Fucito and Lamar Neagle to Montreal for the rights to former(?) US Men's National Team forward Eddie Johnson. Wednesday will mark just the second time Eddie has returned to the team where he rose to stardom, having appeared at FCD Stadium once back in 2006 for the Kansas City Wizards.
EJ still sits in the top 10 of all-time franchise scoring leaders for FC Dallas and spent five seasons in the metroplex amassing 24 goals in what seems like a lifetime ago. With Dave Clark telling us in the 3 questions post that Eddie will likely start tomorrow night, I'm curious as to what reception he will receive from the FC Dallas faithful.
While Eddie spent some great years here, he had more than worn out his welcome by the time he left with his petulant attitude on show for all to see multiple times. I can remember one instance in particular where Eddie got into it with Bobby Rhine of all people outside the makeshift locker rooms setup outside the barely finished FC Dallas stadium.
How will you receive Eddie Johnson tomorrow night?
