Sources close to Big D Soccer have learned that FC Dallas and Seattle Sounders have engaged in a ground-breaking trade sending defender George John to Seattle for recently signed US Women's National Team goalkeeper Hope Solo who will become the first woman to compete in Major League Soccer.

When reached for comment, FC Dallas General Manager Doug Quinn had this to say, "In an effort to capitalize on our sold out crowd that came to FC Dallas to see the US Women's National Team in February, we've decided to bring on Hope Solo to boost our backline."

Solo, who recently signed for the Seattle Sounders women's team becomes the first female to compete in Major League Soccer and will join FC Dallas tomorrow in advance of their Thursday night showdown with New England Revolution while George John returns to play for his hometown Seattle Sounders. Much more to come on this as news becomes available...
