Fabian Castillo, like many young talents, can be absolutely electric when he's on and maddeningly inconspicuous when he's not. The young Colombian finished the 2012 pre-season with 3 goals and 1 assist in 503 minutes of action, looking very, very good when on the field with David Ferreira.
Castillo, who turns 20 in June, is likely one of the x-factors in 2012 that could determine whether Dallas is an MLS also-ran or an MLS Cup contender. He projects to start on the right wing in the 4-1-4-1 formation and as an off-striker in the 4-4-2 while subbing for Brek Shea out on the left when the Texan is not around due to international duty.
While he suffered towards the end of the year, like everyone else, Castillo had what I would call a nice 2011 season with 2 goals and 3 assists in 16 starts. What are your projections for his 2012 season? Goals/Assists/Starts
